WATER FOR FOOD

Modernizing agriculture for a climate-smart future

Rice is a staple food for half of the global population, making it a cornerstone of food security and a significant opportunity for innovation in agriculture.

We are helping farmers change the way they farm, which not only boosts their productivity and lowers costs, but also promotes methods that are better for the environment. These include changes in cultivation practices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase water-use efficiency.

WATER FOR CITIES

Creating water-secure city-regions

More and more cities are running out of water. By 2050, nearly half of the global urban population will live in cities exposed to water scarcity.

We are leading the creation of Water Secure City Platforms to help regional and national governments respond to water crises when they occur and prevent them from happening in the first place.
