The 2030WRG becomes full member of the Consejo Consultivo del Agua in Mexico
During the CCAs General Assembly held on June 14th, the 2030WRG formally accepted the invitation to become full member of the CCA and also had the opportunity to present 3 new initiatives being discussed within CCAs thematic groups and to be implemented with the support of other CCAs members and the relevant government institutions. These initiatives are the Green Infrastructure Solutions in the Mexican Water Sector Initiative, the Integrated Wastewater Management Initiative, and the Water Security Risks Integration Initiative. The General Assembly also counted with the participation of the Secretary of State for Tourism, Mr Enrique de la Madrid; who explained the new government approach for sustainable tourism. After the CCAs General Assembly, the 2030WRG met with the CCAs President of the Water and the Environment Committee, Mr Eugenio Barrios (WWFs Water Director for Mexico) to discuss the design and implementation of the Green Infrastructure Solutions in the Mexican Water Sector Initiative.
